Meet Dr. Miaken L. Zeigler, D.C.
Dr. Miaken L. Zeigler is originally from Sturgis, South Dakota. Dr. Zeigler is a second generation chiropractor as her father served the Sturgis community with chiropractic care for 28-years! Having worked in her dad's office for 5-summers, she witnessed (and experienced) the body's amazing ability to heal through chiropractic care; whether it was for pain relief or wellness and preventive care, patients got better and consistently made healthier lifestyle choices!
Dr. Zeigler is an avid athlete and outdoor enthusiast. She played college basketball for the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology while pursuing her B.S. in Environmental Engineering. An All-American athlete, she utilized chiropractic on a regular basis to stay in top form. Often her dad was onsite to adjust both the team and daughter before and/or after games!
After graduation, Dr. Zeigler worked for Burns & McDonnell Engineering and Consulting. Her goal: to positively impact the environment through remediation/clean-up and providing greener solutions to her community. However, work as engineer left her unfulfilled. With a strong desire to help and work with people, she decided to turn to chiropractic, a lifetime constant.
Dr. Zeigler received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. While there, Dr. Zeigler had the opportunity to intern in Minneapolis, Costa Rica, and China. She was chosen by the Dean and Faculty of NWHSU to complete a three month preceptorship at Beimen Orthopedic and Spinal Hospital in Tianjin, China. Studies included bone setting, acupuncture and radiology with an emphasis on integrative, patient-centered care. During the internship, she worked closely with Eastern and Western Medicine doctors for the treatment of all conditions ranging from low back and neck pain to indigestion, skin complaints, and stroke. With each clinical and patient experience, Dr. Zeigler continued to note the importance of the chiropractic adjustment: to clear the nerve system to improve the body's ability to adapt to everyday stressors, whether it is physical, chemical (nutritional) or environmental.
Dr. Zeigler practiced in Eagan, Minnesota prior to moving to Denver. There she continued to gain valuable experience with the mission to help, serve, love, and inspire as many people as possible through natural chiropractic care.
"I love what I do! As a chiropractor, I have two jobs: to adjust and educate. Everyday, I have the opportunity to 1) help people (and their families!) maximize their health through chiropractic care, and 2) educate them on the innate intelligence within themselves! I love when people are made aware of the inner workings of the body!"

Meet Marika Lou, Chiropractic Assistant & Receptionist
Originally from the beautiful state of Oregon, Marika Lou is a happy transplant to Colorado, enjoying all that this adventurous state has to offer. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, she tried her hand in a couple of education positions, teaching reading skills and natural history at an outdoor literacy camp for kids, followed by conversational English at a public high school in Thailand. Coming from a family of teachers, education has always been a strong value of Marika’s and is something she particularly admires about Dr. Miaken Zeigler’s practice.
Marika loves running, backpacking, skiing, yoga and reading, but did not love the near-constant neck and shoulder pain she found herself suffering from, as well as the subsequent headaches it generated, driving her to seek Dr. Miaken’s care as a patient in the fall of 2016. After experiencing for herself the wonderful healing power of chiropractic care, Marika began her career as a Chiropractic Assistant at Zeigler Chiropractic in February 2017. She looks forward to spreading knowledge and awareness of the power of a healthy spine and the innate healing ability of a nervous system functioning at its optimum capability. True health comes from more than just addressing symptoms, and Marika is excited to be a part of the Zeigler Chiropractic team and to work towards its goal of helping everyone to make choices that lead to happier, healthier, and fuller lives.
Meet Amanda Mallard, Chiropractic Assistant & Public Relations
Born and raised in Colorado, Amanda Mallard has been a resident of Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood for over eight years. She loves her home state, the city of Denver, and couldn’t imagine life anywhere else. Amanda attended the Metropolitan State College of Denver and the Art Institute of Colorado. Happily married, she is hoping to expand her family in the near future. In her free time, Amanda enjoys cooking, crafting, making art, and most of all, spending time with family and loved ones. She is always ready to lend a hand and take care of those in need, including an elderly friend that she adores in a nursing home. Doing all things with love is Amanda’s life time goal.
Amanda started as a patient at Zeigler Chiropractic. A long time employee at a local eatery, she came to Dr. Zeigler due to constant, chronic pain. She quickly learned of chiropractic care and experienced first-hand the amazing, innate healing ability of her own body. Through care, she gained function in her body she didn’t think she would ever have again; and lost pain she thought she would have to live with forever. She was elated! Amanda became an immediate advocate for chiropractic care and a healthier way of life. Since then, she has been excited to share her new found knowledge and experience with everyone! In search of a new line of work, Amanda yearned for a meaningful career where she could truly make a difference in peoples’ lives. It quickly became clear, the perfect place and position for her was to start her new career at Denver Chiro Care as the Chiropractic Assistant. Amanda has been serving the Denver Chiro Care family since March of 2014. Her enthusiasm and knowledge for chiropractic continues to grow. With a strong commitment, she is helping others learn the amazing benefits the chiropractic lifestyle has to offer. One of Amanda’ goals is to educate her community on how to live healthy, happy, and greater quality lives through a healthy spines, exercise and healthy choices!
Meet Tallon VanNoy, Marketing, Design & IT
Tallon VanNoy is a Native Coloradan, through and through. She loves all that the state has to offer including hiking, backpacking, running, snowboarding and the fresh mountain air. Tallon is an outdoor and health enthusiast, always pushing herself to find alternative and holistic remedies for ailments. Because of her love for the outdoors and sports, she found herself with a few injuries and chronic headaches. Tallon began as a patient of Dr. Miaken Zeigler’s at Zeigler Chiropractic, where she experienced first-hand the power of the innate healing of chiropractic. Soon after beginning her care, she began her career working as the Chiropractic Assistant of Zeigler Chiropractic. She has been working in this position since July of 2015.
Currently, Tallon is attending the University of Colorado at Denver for her degree in Digital Design. She loves to create portraits of the human form and anatomy. She has hopes to expand that degree into her own business and be able to travel around the US selling her art and designs. She enjoys that her job as a Chiropractic Assistant gives her the opportunity to learn more about the form and function of the human body—and hopes to share the same knowledge with the patients of Zeigler Chiropractic. She aims to educate and aid the community in learning about their own bodies and the power of chiropractic.
